Cost & Compliance Specialist

Job Description SUMMARY: Responsible for cost analysis and procurement compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned Perform fact-find of suppliers proposal at suppliers facility Perform cost analysis of supplier proposals and generate analyst recommendation/position Support SCAs in proposal negotiation Assist SCAs in elements of cost/price analysis relative to proposal review and award justification Review and approval of all supplier submittals relative to cost type contract submittals Review procurement award documentation with respect to TC SOPs and applicable federal acquisition regulations Approve award documentation relative to SOP and FAR/DFAR compliance Perform periodic audits of procurement award documentation to ensure adequacy of process and controls Perform staff training in cost and price analysis and proposal evaluation Perform staff training in compliance to all applicable TC SOPs and federal regulations Periodic audit of staff knowledge inventory to determine follow-up training requirements Develop and/or revise TC SOPs to support changing business conditions and/or applicable regulatory requirements Support TC customer proposal activities with respect to supplier proposal analysis and probable outcome recommendations We are an Affirmative Action / Equal Employment Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V).  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, gender, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other protected characteristic. Required Experience MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Quantitative Methods, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related fields. EXPERIENCE: Minimum, 10 years of proposal analysis and negotiation direction or support.  Direct contract and/or subcontract experience in a federal regulation procurement environment. OTHER: Ability to analyze, document and train in the areas of cost analysis, price analysis and FAR/DFAR Ability to effectively communicate: written and oral Ability to train staff and follow-up to ensure proficiency and compliance Ability to analyze regulations and existing procedures to determine adequacy of TC SOPs Revise/develop SOPs accordingly Negotiation proficiency Job Location Huntington, New York, United States Position Type Full-Time/Regular 20121146

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
