Summary
The Business Development Officer will support the bank's "Fund the Growth" strategy. This role is responsible for expanding existing customer relationships and identifying prospects between the Commercial Equipment Vehicle Finance ("CEVF") division and all other departments within the bank. He/She will develop and implement procedures to identify and refer leads to/from CEVF. You will cultivate relationships with CEVF's Business Development Officers, affinity partners, vendors, customers and other department liaisons to ensure that each opportunity is processed efficiently and within the bank's guidelines. Will provide reports to management addressing all key performance metrics and make recommendations or suggestions as appropriate to enhance cross-sell opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement procedures designed to expand existing customer relationships and identify prospects
Consistently collaborate and communicate with CEVF team members and other departments via email, phone, in-person
Provide periodic reporting on sales activity and new business origination results vs. goals
Monitor performance
Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Develop and execute strategic and tactical plan to meet annual goals
Manage expense and revenue drivers
Develop marketing materials
Develop and roll-out innovative programs
Understand a variety of products across business lines
Required periodic travel to other Santander offices - mainly East Coast

Qualifications
At least 4 years of relevant sales, marketing or business development experience
Bachelor's degree
Financial services experience strongly preferred
Self-motivated with a willingness to achieve goals
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Excellent selling and client interaction skills
Project management and creative thinking skills
Ability to multi-task
Very strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to travel

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
