The Business Development Officer is responsible for retaining and expanding existing company relationships for the Commercial Equipment Vehicle Finance ("CEVF") division. He/She will solicit new business from prospective customers and call on existing or prospective customers within the framework of a business development call program. You will document calls and results, and make reports to management as required. This position will discuss customer needs, problems, or complaints, and arrange for meetings between customers or prospective customers and representatives of various company functional areas. Will compile and analyze statistics pertinent to the client's business development program and makes recommendations or suggestions as appropriate.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides weekly and monthly reporting on sales activity and origination results vs. individual established goals along with additional ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by group or senior management
Manages and provides all related customer service to external customers and internal customers/team members
Monitors performance of existing customer accounts and assists Risk Management with risk mitigation (security interest perfection, change in control/ownership and related activities)
Updates customer financial reporting as required
Prepares and submits all new and repeat borrowing requests, negotiates terms to meet or exceed CEVF margin and return metrics for credit risk profile
Develops new vendor relationships and manages ongoing customer and vendor relationships.

5+ years of relevant (commercial vehicle) sales or business development experience
High level of proficiency in financial calculations including experience working with T-Value and custom payment programs as well as thorough knowledge of contracts
Banking industry experience preferred
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Excellent product knowledge
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
Self-motivated with a willingness to achieve goals
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent selling skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
