Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring of on-line bank transactions, preparation & processing of remote check deposits and ACH payments, bank reconciliation, posting loan payments and interest.
Record financial transactions in general ledger, generate reports and oversee books for three companies.
Oversee and post bi-weekly payroll data to Paychex and QuickBooks.
Collect and review weekly timesheets, prepare reports, and reconcile with payroll.
Oversee 401K enrollment process, 401k compliance and payroll contributions.
Coordinate benefits with HR, health insurance broker.
Prepare monthly pre-billing time and expense reports, generate monthly invoices along with assistant bookkeeper who manages A/R.
Manage A/P.
Assist external CPA with preparation of books for quarterly review and year-end reports for tax returns.
Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets.
Supervise and build a strong accounting and office team to fit the needs of our company.
Manage and perform other duties consistent with the roll of accounting professional.

BS in Accounting, Finance or a related field5

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
