Seek conscientious cost controls by finding cost variances and best practices.
Essential Functions:
Lead all job costing responsibilities and activities across all projects.
Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase profitability on jobs.
Review cost allocations.
Carry out an earned value analysis of the project on a periodic basis.
Run cost deviation analysis.
Standardize and maintain a system of quantities and cost tracking records and techniques.
Analyze requirement documents, as well as project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors Managing bids from vendors and contractors Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis.
Ability to present prepared estimates to management Compiling and recording actual costs Writes up and presents project budgets, reports and project plans Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs Obtain and track material costs and negotiate material costs The Analyst will receive weekly material updates with our suppliers and maintain the accuracy of these material costs within the company's spread sheets
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.

years of construction experience in cost accounting Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-starter, well organized, possess excellent computer skills, be able to multi-task.
This position requires an excellent understanding of building materials and their costs.
Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
Strong coordination / organization skills with attentiveness to timelines.
Understanding of variance / trend analysis with actual/budget/historical results.
Strong interpersonal skills - able to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsible, dependable and possesses an exceptional work ethic.
